TOKYO, Japan - Suzuki has introduced a new tall-roof minivan in Japan. Called the Palette it will be launched on the local market on the 30th of January.
Palette, which was previewed at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show, is the third kei-class monospace design from Suzuki, contemplating the Wagon R and MR Wagon models. It aims for maximum convenience, with a low-floor construction and dual sliding doors.
Palette is based on a new, 2400 mm long wheelbase platform and comes in both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel drive options. The familiar 660 cc engine is available either with VVT or a turbocharger and it is mated to a four-speed automatic gearbox.
Sales target is 6000 cars a month in Japan.
